Patrick Allen, the county councillor for Uttoxeter Town, has been appointed to Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet. He will serve as the new Cabinet Member for Communities and Culture. Previously, Allen held the position of Cabinet Support Member for highways north.
Acting Council Leader Hayley Coles, who formerly held the communities and culture portfolio, expressed confidence in Allen's appointment. "This really is a fantastic portfolio and I am confident it will be in very safe hands with Pat," she stated.
Allen commented on his new role: "I am privileged to be appointed to this new role and look forward to serving and working with our communities on this hugely important area of work."
The confirmation of the Leader and Deputy Leader of the Council is scheduled to take place at a Full Council meeting in December. Hayley Coles is currently serving as Acting Leader, with Sean Bagguley as Acting Deputy Leader.
