Residents, workers, and students in Warwickshire are reminded that the deadline to participate in Warwickshire County Council’s budget consultation for 2027/28 is fast approaching on Sunday 1 November 2026.

The council is seeking feedback to help shape its budget proposals, asking for views on which services residents value most, potential Council Tax options, and areas where efficiencies could be explored. Suggestions on how the council could operate differently or generate additional income are also invited.
Like many councils nationwide, Warwickshire County Council is facing significant financial pressures due to rising costs and increasing demand for services, particularly in children’s and adult social care, support for those with special educational needs and disabilities, and home-to-school transport.
The council has already achieved over £200 million in savings since 2014 and continues to seek opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and income generation through its Value for Money programme.

"Thank you to everyone who has already taken the time to complete the survey. We want to make sure as many people as possible have the opportunity to have their say before the consultation closes. The financial pressures facing councils are significant, and the decisions we make need to balance the services people rely on with the resources available. Hearing directly from residents, businesses, students and community organisations helps us better understand what matters most to them. If you haven't yet shared your views, I'd encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey before it closes on 1 November."

Cllr James Crocker · Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Finance and Property
The consultation results will inform the council's budget proposals, with final decisions to be made by elected councillors through the formal budget-setting process. Paper copies of the survey are available upon request by calling 01926 410 410.
