Loughborough College Group has received an ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted for its residential accommodation and homestay provision, following a recent inspection.

The report specifically praised the organisation for the “exceptional care, support, and outcomes provided to students and apprentices” across its main campuses at Brooksby College near Melton Mowbray, Loughborough College, and Stephenson College in Coalville.
Inspectors visited the College Group’s two dedicated residential facilities at Brooksby College and Loughborough College, as well as the organisation’s homestay initiative. They highlighted a “strong safeguarding culture, outstanding residential experiences, and excellent academic achievement.”
The Ofsted Social Care Common Inspection, which took place over three days, covered The Gables at Loughborough College, the 850-acre Brooksby College site, and the organisation’s homestay service, which supports degree-level students and Apprentices in a communal and culturally immersive environment.
In the newly released report, Loughborough College Group achieved Outstanding results across three key areas: Overall experiences and progress of young people; how well young people are helped and protected; and the effectiveness of leaders and managers.
