The event, held at the Britannia Shopping Centre, offered a range of free activities including pumpkin bowling, a themed stilt walker, creepy crafts, and face painting. A Halloween fancy dress competition saw prizes awarded for the best costumes, with all participants receiving a medal. The Mayor of Hinckley and Bosworth, Councillor Cathie Gibbens, presented trophies to the overall winners.
Local radio station Fosse 107 provided a spooky soundtrack, with visitors dancing to Halloween classics. The event also coincided with Hinckley BID’s Treasure Hunt, which ran until 31 October and started and ended in the Britannia Centre, featuring fun clues in shop windows and prizes.
“"This family friendly event always proves to be a hit with families and little ones each October. It was another great event this year, on the day of Halloween itself, with some fantastic fancy-dress costumes."
“"Thanks to everyone who took part and my thanks to the organisers for putting on another great free event for the borough."
