Ciiara Nyx, 21, who studied Performing Arts and Music at Stratford-upon-Avon College, has reached the latest season of ITV's The Voice UK. Originally from Evesham and now residing in London, Nyx developed her performing abilities through various charity events and honed her songwriting skills.
Nyx completed a Level 2 Performing Arts course, followed by Level 3 Acting, and then achieved a Distinction in Level 3 Music in Spring 2025. She highlighted the importance of building connections with fellow creatives during her time at college, finding a community with similar interests.
Her mother encouraged her to audition for The Voice, a process Nyx described as stressful but ultimately rewarding. She discovered she had advanced to the blind auditions while attending a class at college, managing to keep the news a secret from her classmates.
During her first televised performance, Nyx delivered a powerful rendition of 'Glorybox', impressing both Kelly Rowland and the duo Tom Fletcher & Danny Jones, ultimately choosing to advance with the latter.
She described her experience on the show as exciting and a significant opportunity to perform in a professional TV studio, fostering relationships with supportive and talented fellow contestants. Nyx is eager to continue her music career, planning to build her musical portfolio and release new projects.
Her next performance is scheduled to air later this month, with the college community eagerly anticipating her progress.
