Polls will be open from 7am to 10pm on election day. The deadline for candidates wishing to stand in the election is Friday 6 November. Relevant forms and submission details are available on the council's 'By-elections and councillor vacancies page'.
Residents who need to register to vote must do so by midnight on Tuesday 17 November. Information on registering can be found on the 'Registering to vote page'.
Applications for postal or proxy votes must be submitted before 5pm on Wednesday 18 November. Details on how to apply are available on the 'Voting by post or proxy page'.
Voters are required to present valid photo ID at the polling station. Those without acceptable ID will be asked to return with it. A free Voter Authority Certificate is available for voters needing identification.
