Hinckley residents are invited to pay their respects at the annual Remembrance Sunday service on Sunday 8 November, commencing just before 11am at the Argents Mead war memorial.

The service, which will be led by Reverand Ian Hill of St Mary’s Church, will feature contributions from clergy and church members of various denominations, the Royal British Legion, Veterans Groups, Civic Leaders, and representatives from the Guiding, Scouting, and Cadet Organisations. Attendees are asked to arrive at the memorial gardens by 10:45am.
A parade will commence from the hospital car park on Mount Road to the war memorial before the service. Following the service, a parade will proceed down Castle Street, through the Market Place where a salute will be taken, and into St Mary’s Road before dispersing.
“

"Our annual Remembrance Sunday service is always a deeply moving occasion, and I’m honoured to take part and represent the borough. Each year, The Mead and the parade route are lined with veterans, serving personnel, uniformed organisations, and members of the public — all coming together to pay tribute and express heartfelt thanks to those currently serving, and to those who made huge sacrifices for our freedom."
