Lincolnshire's Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme has achieved significant recognition, securing two prestigious regional awards at this year's HAF Awards.

The awards, organised by the Department for Education, celebrate outstanding HAF providers and volunteers dedicated to supporting children and young people during school holidays. Lincolnshire's programme was lauded for the tangible difference it makes to young lives across the county.
Magna Vitae received the Regional HAF Provider Award for its innovative Flexible Teen Gym and Swim Membership. The organisation has demonstrated impressive commitment to engaging secondary school-aged young people, notably through a free "Bring a Friend" offer, which has enhanced participation and accessibility for those who might not otherwise engage in such activities.
In addition, Paisley-Mae Clyde was presented with the Regional Young Person Award. This accolade recognises her sustained involvement with the HAF programme, which has significantly contributed to developing her skills and confidence. Her participation led to a passion for golf, ultimately securing her a golf scholarship with support from the HAF team.
Cllr Natalie Oliver, Executive Councillor for Children’s Services, expressed pride in the programme's achievements. "Our HAF programme supports thousands of local young people each year, and we’re really proud to have been recognised by the DfE," she stated. "Magna Vitae and Paisley-Mae are both great examples of what can be achieved, and their success is well deserved."
Cllr Oliver added, "Our providers all go above and beyond to ensure that the children they work with have a happy, healthy school holidays. Having visited a number of our HAF clubs, I’ve seen first-hand the life-changing difference they can make. Well done to everyone involved!"
