The United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (ULTH) has announced the introduction of its new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, named Nervecentre. The system is scheduled to go live between Tuesday 13 October and Friday 16 October.
This implementation marks a significant advancement in how patient care is delivered and managed across the trust's hospitals, representing a key milestone in ULTH’s ongoing digital transformation.
The adoption of Nervecentre is expected to yield benefits for both healthcare staff and patients. These include: seamless access to patient information across various clinical services and departments, improved coordination of care to support safer and more informed decision-making, and a smarter utilisation of digital technology and data. This will allow staff to dedicate more time to patient care by reducing time spent on paperwork.
The go-live of Nervecentre is the initial phase of a broader digital transformation programme. Future developments will introduce additional functionalities, including tools designed to increase patient involvement in managing their own care through digital services. Further details will be provided as these advancements progress.
This investment signifies a substantial move towards a more connected and modern healthcare system, aimed at supporting staff in delivering the highest standard of care for the residents of Lincolnshire. ULTH anticipates further developing and enhancing the EPR system in collaboration with Nervecentre in the coming years.
