Hundleby Parish Rooms in Lincolnshire is set to undergo significant renovations, including the addition of accessible toilet facilities, thanks to a £15,000 grant from Lincolnshire County Council.

The funding, awarded from Lincolnshire County Council’s Strategic Grant Fund, will contribute to the ongoing modernisation of the village venue, which hosts various community activities such as Tai Chi sessions, a community choir, and a community café.
The project was championed by local county councillor, Cllr Philip Roberts, who also allocated funding from his divisional grant for a new dishwasher. "It’s a valuable community asset and improving the accessibility means more people can benefit from it," said Cllr Roberts. "I was really pleased we were able to help because this is exactly the kind of project that the grant scheme is for."
The parish council has been renovating the Parish Rooms for seven years, previously replacing the kitchen and roof structure. This latest grant will help bring the work closer to completion.
Lynette Corten-Miller, Chair of Hundleby Parish Council, expressed gratitude for the funding. "This is the only community venue in the village – and many of the villages around us use it too because they don’t have anything like this," she stated. "Our toilets are used by visitors to the church next door so it’s really important they can be used by the whole community."
The Councillor Community Grant Fund supports local groups and community projects across the county. Further information on awarded funding can be found on the Lincolnshire County Council website.
