The Newark and Sherwood District Council is hosting four free drop-in sessions aimed at helping residents feel more confident using online services. These sessions are designed for anyone needing assistance with digital council services, whether they are new to online platforms or require guidance.
Support offered includes help with navigating the Council website, completing online forms and applications, creating and using online accounts, and uploading documents. Participants are encouraged to bring their own devices, such as smartphones, tablets, or laptops, though council equipment will also be available.

Councillor Peter Harris, Portfolio Holder for Corporate Services, stated, "We want residents to be able to access Council services quickly and easily 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, whatever their level of digital confidence. These sessions provide friendly, practical support to help people use our online services and make the most of the digital options available to them."
“"Whether you need help completing an online form, setting up an account or simply finding the right information, our staff will be on hand to help."
Attendees will also have the chance to enter a free prize draw to win one of two tablets. While staff can offer general support, they will not be able to make decisions on individual cases or provide specialist advice on specific services, but will guide residents to the correct service and next steps.
