The first phase of improvements to Titchfield Park in Kirkby has commenced, focusing on upgrading the netball courts and installing new facilities.

The initial stage of the Titchfield Park revamp in Kirkby is now underway, with plans approved by the Kirkby Neighbourhood Board to create a sports hub. This project aims to bring the park's netball courts up to a high standard, similar to ongoing work at Kingsway Park.
As part of this first phase, the netball courts will be resurfaced and coloured. New adjustable, energy-efficient lighting, capable of being dimmed and controlled for individual courts, will be installed alongside new fencing.
Ashfield District Council has submitted a planning application for a new changing pavilion to replace the existing end-of-life facility. The proposed building includes an accessible ramp, toilet and shower facilities, two changing rooms, and a meeting space.
The Titchfield Park Sports Hub project represents an investment of over £600,000. This funding will cover the upgrading of existing netball courts with new surfacing and floodlights, resurfacing of footpaths, and the construction of the new changing rooms.
The majority of the funding is derived from a portion of Kirkby’s £20 million Pride in Place Fund, as approved by the Kirkby Neighbourhood Board.
