Warsop residents are being encouraged by Warsop Parish Council to participate in the consultation for the Mansfield District Local Plan Review, which outlines future development for the area.

Warsop Parish Council is urging residents to engage with the Mansfield District Council's Local Plan Review. This crucial document serves as a blueprint for the district's growth over the next 15 years and beyond, detailing plans for new homes, employment opportunities, infrastructure improvements, and the creation of greener communities.
The consultation period for the Local Plan Review Publication Draft commenced on 29 September and will conclude at 5pm on 10th November 2026. During this time, Mansfield District Council is specifically seeking comments on whether the draft plan adheres to legal requirements and is considered 'sound' before its submission for independent examination.
Residents can access the draft plan and submit their views via the online portal at https://mansfield-consult.objective.co.uk/kse. Registration is required to comment. Alternatively, a physical copy of the document is available for viewing at the Civic Centre and all county libraries within the district, including those in Clipstone and Rainworth, throughout the representation period. Library opening times can be checked at https://www.inspireculture.org.uk/reading-information/find-a-library/.
All representations must be submitted in writing. While the consultation portal or email to lp@mansfield.gov.uk are preferred, postal submissions should be addressed to the Planning Policy Team Leader at Mansfield District Council, Civic Centre, Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield, NG19 7BH, and must arrive by the end of the representation period.
Submissions should clearly state why and how the Local Plan Review Publication Draft is considered legally compliant or non-compliant, compliant or non-compliant with the Duty to Cooperate, and/or sound or unsound. Suggestions for necessary changes to make the plan sound should also be included. The Sustainability Appraisal and Habitat Regulations Assessment are also subject to this publication.
It is important to note that all submitted representations will be made publicly available. Assistance for residents in preparing their representations is available from Vibrant Warsop, which will be hosting support meetings soon. For more information or to register interest, please contact Maddy at maddy@vibrantwarsop.org.uk or call 07984367153.
