Mansfield Announces New Christmas Festival for November 22
West Gate to host a day of festive entertainment, family activities, and seasonal attractions organised by Mansfield District Council.

Mansfield is set to launch its inaugural Christmas festival, the West Gate ChristmasFest, on Sunday, 22 November, offering a full day of festive entertainment and activities in the town centre.
Residents and visitors are invited to kick off the festive season at the West Gate ChristmasFest, which will run from 10am to 5pm. The event will transform West Gate into a festive destination with a variety of Christmas attractions, including live performances across two stages, music, fairground rides, arts and crafts, and a snow globe.
Organised by Mansfield District Council in partnership with Four Seasons Shopping Centre and Mansfield BID, the festival is supported by local businesses. A Christmas light display and a 20-foot Christmas tree will be featured outside the buttercross, with pop-up events, including Santa’s Grotto, taking place within the Four Seasons Shopping Centre.
The festival is being held on West Gate due to ongoing regeneration works in Mansfield Market Place. Organisers aim to provide a memorable Christmas celebration in a prominent town centre location, free of charge.
A real Christmas tree will serve as a centrepiece, creating a traditional festive atmosphere. While there will not be a formal switch-on ceremony due to space limitations, opportunities to view and photograph the tree will be available throughout the day.
