“"Becoming a Fair Chance Employer has had a positive impact on our organisation and our team. With support from the Skills Hub, we were able to offer a work trial that led to someone securing employment with us. The process helped us recognise the benefits of inclusive recruitment and showed how small changes can create life-changing opportunities for individuals while bringing valuable skills and perspectives into our business."

More than 100 businesses in Warwickshire have pledged to create more inclusive workplaces and become Fair Chance Employers through Warwickshire County Council's Skills Hub.
The Fair Chance Employer programme aims to assist businesses in making recruitment and employment more accessible, thereby generating opportunities for individuals who might face challenges in securing or maintaining employment. Through practical assistance, guidance, and recognition, employers can foster inclusive work environments while capitalising on a diverse and skilled workforce.
The initiative acknowledges businesses that are actively implementing positive measures to enhance employment and recruitment accessibility and inclusivity. Recognising that organisations are at various stages of their development, employers can work towards achieving three tiers of recognition: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
Bronze level is designed for employers embarking on their Fair Chance journey, signifying a dedication to fair and inclusive employment practices. Silver recognition is awarded to employers who demonstrate inclusive practices within their organisation, such as offering work trials to individuals exploring different roles. Gold, the highest level, celebrates organisations where Fair Chance principles are firmly embedded, having employed individuals via the Fair Chance jobs portal and made workplace adjustments to support them.
Councillor Rob Howard, Portfolio Holder for Economy and Rural Development at Warwickshire County Council, stated: "The Fair Chance Employer programme is about creating opportunities for people who may experience barriers to employment and helping them realise their potential."
"By working closely with businesses across Warwickshire, we are helping more residents gain access to meaningful work, develop their skills and build their confidence. At the same time, employers are benefiting from a wider and more diverse pool of talent."
"It is fantastic to see more than 100 businesses commit to making their workplaces more inclusive and creating opportunities that can make a real difference to people's lives."
