Sandwell Council, in partnership with TR Partnership Homes Ltd, has officially opened 15 new affordable council homes in Hawes Lane, Rowley Regis, addressing local housing demand.

The development offers a range of properties, including two-, three-, and four-bedroom houses, alongside two-bedroom bungalows and one-bedroom apartments. These high-quality homes are designed to meet the growing needs of the community and will be rented to individuals and families on the council’s housing waiting list.
Designed with sustainability in mind, the properties incorporate modern measures to support energy efficiency and reduce utility bills for residents. Features include air source heat pumps, photovoltaic solar panels, and electric vehicle charging points.
Councillor Ray Nock, Leader of Sandwell Council, expressed his satisfaction with the project, stating: “I am pleased to see these new homes built to very good modern standards. They will provide much-needed affordable homes for people on Sandwell’s housing waiting list, and they are part of our wider programme of building new council homes.”
Councillor Ken Parsons, Sandwell Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing, added: “These properties provide homes that contribute to tackling the housing crisis. They also help build a stronger, more inclusive community with adapted properties helping to address tenants’ specific needs.”
