The event, taking place at the Red room, Penn Bowling & Social Club, 10 Manor Road, Penn, WV4 5PY, will run from 11am to 2pm. Organised by the council’s Public Protection Scams team, attendees will receive free scams awareness and prevention packs.
Residents can meet with representatives from organisations including the Alzheimer’s Society, Aquarius, Beacon Centre, Carer Support, Financial Wellbeing, Healthwatch, KOOTH, Neighbourhood Safety, NHS Talking Therapies, Public Protection, Rethink, SEND Offer, Severn Trent, Shared Lives, Terrific for Twos, Waste Services, City of Wolverhampton College, Wolverhampton Homes, and Work Well NHS.
Councillor Qaiser Azeem, cabinet member for resident services at City of Wolverhampton Council, highlighted the event's role in bringing support directly to communities. "Our popular Help at the Hub days continue to take support and advice out into local communities," he stated. "Representatives will be available from a range of organisations, and local people are welcome to pop in and ask questions about work, careers and health or finances, safety and education."
Councillor Azeem added, "This time we’ll be in Penn to chat to local residents. Do come along and speak to people who can help with your concerns." Residents do not need to book an appointment but should be prepared for potential waits during busy periods.
