North Northamptonshire Council libraries are offering free digital support sessions during Get Online Week, starting Monday 19 October, to help residents build confidence with technology.
Residents across North Northamptonshire are invited to discover new digital skills and build confidence with technology at a series of free events taking place in council-managed libraries. The initiative is part of the national ‘Get Online Week’ campaign.
The programme of activities will run across libraries in Corby, Irthlingborough, Kettering, Oundle, Rushden, and Wellingborough, starting on Monday 19 October. These sessions aim to help residents make the most of digital technology in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Organised by The Good Things Foundation, ‘Get Online Week’ aims to bridge the digital skills gap for those who lack confidence, skills, or equipment. Libraries are providing trusted community spaces for residents to access technology and learn new skills.
Throughout the week, attendees can receive practical support with digital devices, explore online services, and learn about staying safe online. Library staff and digital specialists will be available to assist with questions.

"Digital technology is now part of everyday life, but we know that not everyone feels confident using it, whether that's accessing online services, using a smartphone or tablet, or knowing how to stay safe online. Our libraries play an important role in helping residents develop digital skills, access online services and gain confidence in a welcoming environment."

"Get Online Week is a fantastic opportunity for people to ask questions and discover the wide range of support available locally, whether they are taking their first steps online or looking to build on existing skills."
